Friends....kengkawan....

i'm so excited and thrill to share my jalan-jalan experiences.... hmmm... not really sure how to start and which place to start with.. pikir punya pikir, last2 i decided to start with Saigon (old name) Ho Chi Minh City. It was an amazing journey, at the same time bole jumpa kawan lama masa DMM dulu (Diploma In Medical Microbiology 06/07). As usual...kalau jalan-jalan, i prefer to stay in budget hotels, jimat sikit....

1st day... on the way to hotel

I was there for 5 days 4 nights, tak tau la kenapa masa packing barang tak ingat langsung nak bawa maggie ke, roti ke...confident je akan terus jumpa makan halal.... i took MAS ticket, waktu tu ada promotion kot, 50% discount, sekarang dah ada air asia...so everyone can fly...hehhehe

I forgot to mention my vietnamese friend, nama dia tuan...mcm nama melayu kan?!! tapi pronunciation bukan TU AN tapi tong...ada dengung sikit...pelik2

Took a cab from the aiport to the hotel and took a rest...

 Petang dah janji dengan tuan jumpa kat depan hotel... nak cari dinner, lapar giler sbb last meal was breakfast.. I have few halal restaurants addresses, guess what malam tu we can't find any of them, kesian kat tuan...pusing situ, masuk jalan sana, try lorong sini...still tak jumpa jugak, banyak nak cerita nak share dengan tuan, lepas dah sejam sesat...we came across vegetarian restaurant....so mlm tu belasah jelah...

Chu Chi Tunnel

Kalau datang saigon mesti datang sini... tourist attraction. We travelled by car...kawan2 tuan yg drove ke sana, approximately 35km journey from the city.... beautiful scenery...i will never forget that.
guess what i had for my breakfast?!! roti keras..baling dinding bole pecah tau....menyesal sangat tak bawa apa2, nasib baik tak lupa bawa nescafee, kalau tak mesti tak bersemangat... on the way to chu chi tunnel, we stopped for breakfast, kat saigon the locals love to have mee hoon soup hehhehe kat sana diorang panggil phuo, apa lagi.... dengan gembiranya diorang 3 org mkn, except for me... tengok jelah..sah-sah le tak halal

lepas breakfast...d journey begins, felt so excited that time........sampai kat sana, we bought entrance tickets and took few shots around the war remnants...

 It was an amazing trip, insaf jugak bila tengok dengan mata sendiri...u can feel the sadness, sorrow during the war... i went inside the tunnel, i barely breath..i was sulfocated...dark, narrow and smelly too..i cannot imagine myself living in this tunnel for years.... kesian giler diorang

 Chu Chi tunnel adalah rangkaian tunnel yang sangat panjang, percaya atau tidak...tunnel bawah tanah ni dah macam bandaraya...ada hospital, sekolah, escape route..... diorg memang kreatif dan survival yang tinggi... recycle balik senjata dan bom american army untuk serang balik dan defend themselves, hebat!!

 We spent almost a day at chu chi tunnel.... penat tak terkata, i brought back a lot of memories and history from this place... semangat kental untuk mempertahankan tanah air... so friends...dont forget to visit this place ya

3rd day, kitaorg jalan-jalan kat bandar...tengok2 kalau ada barang nak beli for souvenior, kain cotton giler banyak....tapi tak shopping banyak pun... tapi jalan2 kat bandar was not our itineary tapi kitaorg nak naik ferry gi beach kat bai tam ....kalau naik kereta it will take us around 4 hours to reach there...so we dont want to waste our time and save budget!!! naik ferry laaaa...

satu jam journey akhirnya sampai....cantik!!! perut dah lapar, nak kena cari seafood grill, my favourite seafood mestilah cumi!!

We walk the whole day...it was tiring, exhausted....but we had fun....borak-borak catching up, setahun tak jumpa, we talk about  family, work, holiday.....best!! sambil makan cumi cumi bakar....sambil tengok sekeliling, angin laut, ombak, langit...

  

War Remnant Museum

On the 4th day, kami nak jalan-jalan dekat bandar....shopping sikit beli souvenior, visit museum.(war remnant museum)....jalan-jalan kat sini memang banyak mengisnsafkan....rasa bersyukur dengan apa yang ada disekeliling, lahir di malaysia..

Lepas visit museum, kami jalan-jalan keliling bandar.... good thing about this city, pokok-pokok kat sini semunya bernombor.. pokok lama yang besar are all over the place, jadi most of the places redup...dan ada park kat tengah-tengah kesibukan bandaraya ni.... old buildings memang cantik...

 Visiting yang terakhir adalah melawat rumah tuan, jumpa wife dan anak lelakinya dong hua, comel !!!

Siap-siap packing.... sedia ke airport, sedihnyer..dah nak balik...kena keje balik...
Travelling for me is an addiction....i will come back!!! Nanti for the next post...i will share with all of you, restaurant halal around Ho Chi Minh City....tungguuuuuu
